Closing Report
A few days have passed since we were all together. We hope your longing for the good times in Dolinsk has been eased a little, and that perhaps you have renewed some of the contacts that were lost over the past 15 to 20 years. We hope you were all pleased with the gathering! We certainly were! And we would like to thank you for turning out in such great numbers and taking part so enthusiastically; for the delicious cakes and salads, the good cheer you brought with you, your attentiveness during the talks, and your patience in the queues at lunchtime. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the volunteers who helped with preparations, grilling, serving the food and cleaning up. Special thanks to Katharina Neufeld, Elwira Nachtigall and Heinrich Dück. Without your excellent talks, the celebration would not have been complete!
Here are a few details:
We managed to eat:
700 grilled sausages,
20 kg of wedding sausages,
113 kg of assorted salads,
40 delicious cakes,
zwieback baked with 8 litres of milk,
15 baguettes,
and countless cups of coffee.
Total donations €1,718
Cost of the gathering €1,143
Remaining amount €575
As announced earlier, the remaining money will be donated to the children's home in Tokskoje. The form of assistance is currently being discussed!
